It's time for a vacation! We've had a pretty mild winter in Los Angeles, yet I'd love to spend some relaxing days laying on the beach. Nothing compares to the beaches in Hawaii, but I'll be extremely grateful for Los Angeles beaches that I can easily get to in less than an hour.
While the weather isn't exactly beach ready, here’s a body butter to naturally prepare you for that summer glow.
It may even take you tropical paradise, well mentally for a moment at least. I know that we haven't even started daylights savings, but I'm already thinking about bronzers and sun-kissed looking skin. I absolutely love the smell of vanilla. This DIY Tropical Vanilla Body Butter contains the best of both worlds: a sweet smell and a sun-kissed glow, not to mention keep your skin super soft.
What you will need…
2 tbsp of cocoa butter
1 tbsp of shea butter
1 tbsp of mango butter
3 tbsp of coconut oil
1 tbsp of beeswax pastilles
7-10 drops of pure vanilla absolute
1/8 tsp of bronze mica
Melt the butters, oil, and beeswax together on low heat while stirring. (Beeswax pastilles are the easiest form to use.) After removing from heat add pure vanilla absolute and bronze mica and continue to stir. Place in a clean glass jar in the refrigerator to solidify and cool. Omit the mica and beeswax to create an AMAZING hair butter that smells absolutely divine!
