The Top 14 GMO Foods To Avoid
Food is such a sensitive topic for so many people. It’s how we nourish ourselves and our families, how we socialize, and the center of all festive occasions. It also can cause stress when we discuss our different views on diets, and how we can create a healthier relationship with food. Now with the topic of genetically modified foods, the topic of food has just been taken to a new level.
I believe that the healthiest diet no matter how you choose to eat contains whole foods, meaning predominately fruits, vegetables, and naturally sourced nutrition. Once you begin processing foods, using pesticides, adding preservatives and synthetic additives, or injecting growth hormones, you no longer have a healthy source of nutrition. Chemicals in foods create many illnesses which we are seeing so much more prevalently in today's society because of processed foods. Now there’s a new dilemma where whole foods are now being created, altered, and poisoned with insecticides in labs. These are genetically modified foods.

The simplest and most inexpensive way to avoid GMO foods is to buy certified organic foods from local farmers' markets including organic meats and animal products. It’s also important to read the labels on the foods that you buy. Just as cosmetics are not regulated in the US, it’s critical to know that the Food and Drug Administration is now headed by a former Monsanto executive. Monsanto is the world’s leading biotechnology and genetic engineering company, and their GMO seeds are being shipped all over the world. (The FDA is not going to admit that genetically modified foods cause any harm to humans, animals, or the environment.) I also just discovered that it is prohibited by Monsanto and other GMO companies to scientifically test GMO versus non GMO foods.
Spread the word about GMO foods to increase awareness. The myth that buying organic foods will cost more is not comparable to the cost of medical bills!
